Amanda Reimer, Director, & Founder

Amanda graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2009 from the School of Medical Rehabilitation with a bachelor's degree in physiotherapy. Amanda first began her career working at the Victoria General Hospital during which she also completed her acupuncture certification from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada and the level one certification of the CPA's Diploma of Advanced Orthopedic Manual and Manipulative Exams. It was while working in the public health care system that Amanda decided to help people in need of rehabilitation the most, those struggling with strength and mobility issues. She created a unique practice where physiotherapy services are offered in 1:1 sessions where hands on manual therapy, education, and exercise prescription based movement training are used to empower those wishing to improve their mobility. The ARMP approach understands the importance of the clinician-client relationship being fundamental in recovery and healing. We also keep our client’s caregivers informed of progress along the way as we recognize they are a critical part of our clients health care team.

Since founding Amanda Reimer Mobile Physiotherapy in the spring of 2014, ARMP has grown from a single practitioner to a team of therapists dedicated to making in-home mobile physiotherapy services accessible to those living in and around Winnipeg. Amanda is a strong advocate for the profession and increasing awareness of its benefits specifically for the aging population and so continues to develop innovative ways to educate those who may not be aware that physio can improve their quality of life.
